In sculpting and painting this wall-mounted sculpture, (with a tiny bit of artistic licence) I have strived to pay as faithful a homage as possible to the original and best 'Alien' from the 1979 film.
The creature in the first film is a result of H.R.Giger's 'hands-on' involvement with the film's design and his 'Biomechanoid' visions. Unlike the 'Aliens' in the subsequent films, the first 'Alien' is much more sculptural and not too organic and therein lies the strange and paradoxical incongruity of it's appearance, which still has the power to fascinate and repell.
I have emulated as much as possible the conduit and cable features inherent in the facial and jaw areas and the shiny cranium.
The wall-mount is of medium weight and is made from hollow-cast resin with glassfibre reinforcement for strength and lightness and then finished in tough acrylic and metallic colours. There is a small (roughly 1 cm. diameter) hanging hole at the back, and just one strong screw-fixing is sufficient to hang this trophy.

I have blended all the best aspects from the 'Xenomorphs' in each film into this singular sculpture: the Biomechanoid features and chrome-like teeth of the first 'Alien', the humanoid lips of and colour of 'Alien 3', the general shape and comparative opacity of the cranium of the creatures in 'Resurrection' and 'AVP'. I have incorporated all these detail and surface colour features to create an ornamental table top art object.

An ornamental depiction of the most savage attribute of the 'Alien' - the killing 'tongue'. Equipped with it's very own set of mandibles with sharp, chrome-like teeth, the vicious thrust of this appendage renders instant death or disablement to the victim in one devasting stab.
This gallery is dedicated to one of my all-time favourite artists, the Swiss surrealist, Hans Reudi Giger. His at once beautiful and nightmarish imagery exerts such a disturbing effect on the human psyche, perhaps because it brings to the surface repressed thoughts on death, sexuality, and spirituality. Also the symbolism of hard-edged industrial surfaces emeshed with flesh reflect on our fears of pain and vulnerability. I have created these sculptures as a tribute to his intense phantasms from the book, 'The Necronomicon' and the creature from the ground-breaking 1979 film, 'Alien'.

My homage to the 'Chestburster'embryo alien which made a grand entrance via John Hurt's chest-cavity in the 1979 film 'Alien'. I've fused together the subtle differences of the 'Burster' shown in the sequels into one biting terror. The creature is draped in the victim's torn clothing remains, chewed internal organs, blood and viscera for maximum shock effect.

Sculpture of an 'Alien Jockey' type head, faithfully rendered in a style inspired by H.R. Giger's 'Space Jockey' corpse in the 1979 film 'Alien'. Painted to simulate a calcified bone colour emeshed with trunking and tubes which are themselves strangely part of the skeletal structure of the entity.
